Tracey Smith

As an experienced artist with over a dozen solo exhibitions under her belt (many of which attracted prestigious awards), Tracey contribute her success to three things; a passion for collaboration and learning with others, embracing the creative process and a willingness to experiment with a variety of art mediums.

She spent the last 30 years contributing to the arts scene within the Gladstone region, partnering with community groups like the Council, Gladstone Hospital, Tondoon Botanic Gardens, Gladstone Mental Health and schools, to creatively engage those living, working and visiting this great city.

"Art to me is a space to explore and express myself. It provides time out from my busy life. My art philosophy is to embrace and allow the creative process to flourish and tell its own story. I am passionate about using art as a joyful vehicle for interaction, education and expression, allowing freedom for individuals to experience the art process in their own unique way." - Tracey Smith
